"Change is Exciting!"

Ashley Clarke uses her classic roots and eclectic aesthetic in creating exceptional design. She is fond of vintage art, clever storage ideas, and quality home renovations. Her style is fresh, but timeless. She aims to provide your family a space that is livable, practical, and beautiful.

Ashley grew up in Connecticut, where she first got a taste for traditional New England style.  She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Communications and Marketing, and pursued a career in creative marketing and event planning. She worked in New York City for ten years before making the move down south.

Prior to relocating to North Carolina, Ashley and her husband completely renovated a townhouse in the beautiful neighborhood of Park Slope, Brooklyn. She loved the design process so much, a career switch was natural.  "I just got it...renovations, communicating my vision, paying attention to quality and detail...the scale of design, the elements of lighting and function...it energizes me!"

Ashley Clarke Designs has been growing its loyal design clientele since June 2013.  Industry education is an important part of day to day for Ashley, keeping up with trade publications, attending High Point Market Fall and Spring each year, and attending design-related seminars including the well known Maria Killam summit becoming certified as a “True Color Expert”

Ashley has two beautiful daughters, Maisie Clementine (15), Meridie Matilda (12), and Boston Terriers named Major and Captain. Her husband, Hamish Clarke is originally from Bacchus Marsh, Australia, near Melbourne. She loves tennis, gardening, vintage treasure hunting, hauling home projects, and charming buys.

Chapel Hill Magazine’s Editor Jessica Stringer wrote a fantastic feature on me when I had my shop open! (see link below for the article) They also nominated me for the category of Best Interior Designer each year since 2016, based on reader polls...Thanks Chapel Hill! I love you too!
